Description
Mysore Palace: The city's main palace, the Mysore Palace, was designed by the English architect Henry Irwin in 1897. The palace's exterior is Indo-Saracenic in style but the wealth of detail inside is distinctly of Hoysala.
Vidhana Soudha (State Assembly): Vidhana Soudha situated in Bengluru is an imposing building, constructed in a style sometimes described as 'Neo-Dravidian', and incorporates elements of Indo-Saracenic, Rajasthani Jharokha and Dravidian styles. It was completed in 1956.
Gol Ghumat (The Tomb): The tomb, located in the city of Bijapur was build in 1659 by the famous architect, Yaqut of Dabul. The construction of this building was completed and the king was interred in 1656.
Hampi: One of India's top historical destinations, the laid back village of Hampi was once the last capital of Vijayanagar. It has some extremely captivating ruins, which date back to the 14th century, stretch for just over 25 kilometers and comprise more than 500 monuments.
Yakshagana: It is a separate system of music independent of Karnataka Sangeetha and the Hindustani music of India, believed to survive as an indigenous phenomenon of Karnataka.
Poetry amongst the woods! Exotic, handpicked and seasoned woods, with their natural, awesome hues, grains and colours. Wood Craft is an ingenious art form which combines the intricacy of wood carving with the delightful creative strains of a work of art. This involves using wood pieces in their natural colours and textures, delicately cutting and creating the best composition and presenting it in the required theme. The result is a masterpiece that is interesting too, owing to its '3D within 2D' illusory effect.
